Volunteers from the Philadelphia region are deploying to help with relief efforts from at least five fires in Southern California.

They will be joining forces with local officials in California to ensure that those affected by the wildfires receive the necessary assistance, including safe shelter, food, emotional support and health services.

The Red Cross of New Jersey is sending four disaster relief workers to California to help people who are affected by the wildfires in Los Angeles. Some Red Cross volunteers from Pennsylvania are also headed west to help relief efforts.
