Central to the deal is how Salesforce customers will nowbe able to build AI agents using Google’s Gemini models as well as deploy Salesforce on Google Cloud. The news comes during the emergence of agentic AI, a sector that’s estimated to be worth $2 trillion.

The contract, worth $2.5 billion, is emblematic of how big tech companies are forging alliances to offer a broader menu of AI products.

The new, seven-year deal, announced today, will enable Salesforce customers to run their Agentforce AI agents and its customer relationship management software on Google’s cloud infrastructure, where they can take advantage of an extensive range of data analytics products, Salesforce said.
