A magnitude 3.1 earthquake on Saturday, Aug. 2, 2025, shook the San Bernardino Mountain community of Big Bear Lake.

Multiple earthquakes rattled parts of San Bernardino and Riverside counties Thursday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. An initial 3.0-magnitude quake struck the area near Rialto around 8:34 a.m. and was followed by a 2.8-magnitude quake and several aftershocks.

A magnitude 3.1 earthquake struck in San Bernardino County on Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.The quake hit at 11:19 a.m. about 1.9 miles east of Big Bear Lake. It had a depth of 4.8 miles.See a quake tracker from our partners with the San Francisco Chronicle below.
