Jun 9, 2010 · Diesel regulations in the USA are becoming more and more strict, intentionally making your truck smoke in public not only pisses people off and wastes tons of fuel, it can also get you in trouble with smog station referrals arriving in the mail as more and more states crack down. Keep it off road/on track.

Apr 17, 2024 · I take my truck to a small garage for the oil/fuel filter changes for a fraction of the cost. I know the mechanics well at that garage, most own diesel trucks. If you do that, keep all records and receipts for warranty work. I get diesel at trusted places with high turnover and get def at truck stops with def pumps. Congrats and enjoy my friend.

Jan 8, 2025 · #1 diesel is what's blended into the regular #2 diesel at the refinery to make "winter blend". You'll be able to find it at some truck stops, card lock fuel sites, or directly from a fuel distributor. In my area, Homax and Dooley Oil have a few places scattered throughout the state.

Aug 25, 2014 · The so-called "grail" truck would at a minimum have the two new-for-1998 options on Cummins equipped Ram trucks: Quad Cab and a short bed, but preferably also with 4WD and a manual transmission. Kind of boils down to how much of a premium one believes a less useful short bed and small back doors are worth.
