#Clogging is a type of #American folk dance with percussive foot-tapping. It has its roots in the dance of the #Irish, #Scottish, #English and #Dutch-#German settlers and it was the social dance in the #Appalachian Mountains as early as the 18th century. Accompanied by rousing fiddle and bluegrass music, clogging was a means of personal expression in a land of newfound freedoms.
