Our sweet little goat Kale went back to Tufts Hospital yesterday for his follow up ultrasounds and unfortunately they showed no improvement. Because he has had significant loss of bone density in the leg from not using it he wasn’t a candidate for a repair surgery, so we proceeded with a full limb amputation today to give him the best chance of healing and the lowest risk of post-operative pain, complications and phantom limb syndrome.
