The Northeast is in the midst of a severe snowstorm, halting travel plans for millions of Americans after Christmas. Some 60 million people were under winter weather alerts from New York to Philadelphia this weekend, with about 5 to 8 inches of snow is expected throughout the region, according to Fox Weather.
